DC, R.K Sharma chaired over the awareness programme on tax deduction at source (TDS) and tax collected at source (TCS) attended by about 70 DDOs and other heads of offices. Expressing his gratitude towards income tax department for conducting the program, DC, urged all to clarify any complicacies and queries during the course of the programme.

Income Tax Officer Shri Lalu Prasad Singh highlighted the importance of accurate filing of returns without any delay and explained the role of DDOs and deduction methodology. He elucidated in detail, various tax slabs and the difference in new and old regime. Importance of filing income tax return for APSTs was also discussed at length.

The awareness program was organized for all of Namsai District in collaboration with District Administration Namsai at DCs Conference Hall.
