Divisional Commissioner (East), Shri P. Lokhande, held talks with DCs, DLRSOs and officials of various building synergies of Anjaw, Lohit and Dibang Valley

Divisional Commissioner (East), Shri P. Lokhande, held talks with DCs, DLRSOs and officials of various building synergies of Anjaw, Lohit and Dibang Valley to assess the present status of land acquisition by agencies like BRO, NHIDCL, ITBP, Powergrid at DC’s Conference Hall Namsai.

District wise presentation was put forth by the concerned heads regarding project description of different agencies, their land acquisition estimates and it’s status.

The districts apprised the authority about issues related to claims and objections, impending court cases and contentions of land owners in giving NOC causing delay in work progress.

Addressing the issues, Lokhande urged the agencies to start dialogues at early stages

with a subsequent follow up action to avoid any delay.

He emphasised the importance of conducting detailed survey of areas and suggested the potential use of space applications for surveying areas having long stretch of foot march route.

He informed the gathering about IRO, Guwahati’s commitment to dispose off works from Arunachal Pradesh twice a month. “Hence, all issues is to be apprised at the earliest for onward action”, he said.

In his concluding remarks Lokhande lauded the progress of work in the eastern zone districts and advised the agencies to work in close coordination with District Administration.

Also present in the meeting were Secretary LM, Officers of Army/BRO/ITBP/NHIDCL/Powergrid/Indian Railway Officials from Directorate of LM, DEO Itanagar.
