Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 Campaign Launched in Namsai

Namsai, August 9: The 5th edition of the Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign was launched in Namsai district today at the District Secretariat, Namsai, as part of the nationwide initiative to encourage citizens to proudly hoist the National Flag at their homes and strengthen the spirit of patriotism, national unity and pride.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by District Art and Culture Officer (DACO) Shri Milingta Namchoom, who highlighted the significance of the campaign and urged all sections of society to participate actively in the various activities being organised under Har Ghar Tiranga 2026.

Addressing the gathering, Deputy Commissioner, Namsai, Shri Lobsang Tsering, emphasised the importance of respecting and upholding the dignity of the National Flag. He clarified that the National Flag should not be displayed on private vehicles and that its display on vehicles is permitted only in accordance with the applicable provisions, including on authorised government vehicles.

The Deputy Commissioner also appealed to all sections of society, including government employees, students, youth, community organisations and the general public, to participate enthusiastically in the campaign and make Har Ghar Tiranga a people’s movement in Namsai.

Citizens are encouraged to participate in the “Selfie with Tiranga” initiative and share their participation through the official Har Ghar Tiranga platform using the hashtags #HarGharTiranga and #HGT2026.

The Har Ghar Tiranga 2026 campaign is being observed from August 9 to 17, 2026, and is dedicated to the spirit of “Vande Mataram.” The campaign encourages citizens to actively participate in various Tiranga-related activities and celebrate the values of patriotism, unity and national pride.

As part of the campaign, citizens of Namsai district are encouraged to hoist the Tiranga at their homes and participate in Tiranga Yatras, Tiranga rallies, patriotic programmes and “Selfie with Tiranga” activities.

The campaign aims to foster a deeper personal connection with the National Flag and reinforce the collective spirit of patriotism, unity and nation-building among citizens.
