Namo Seva Sankalp Utsav Nukkad Natak Held at Gandhi chowk, Namsai

Namsai, 8 October 2026: A Namo Seva Sankalp Utsav Nukkad Natak (Street Play) under the Namo Seva Ankahi Kahani initiative was organised by the Department of Sports and Youth Affairs at Gandhi Chowk, , with the participation of public representatives, officials, and members of the local community.

The programme was graced by Dr. Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister of Arunachal Pradesh, along with Chau Zingnu Namchoom, MLA, Namsai; Shri Puinnyo Apum, MLA, Dambuk; Shri Ramesh Lingi, Director, Youth Affairs, and other dignitaries.

The programme was also attended by Dr. Devesh Kumar, State In-charge; Shri Kaling Moyong, State President; Shri Duggoli Libang, State Convenor, Namo Seva Ankahi Kahani; Chow Sujana Namchoom, ZPC, Namsai; Smti Basanlu Dellang, ZPC, Lohit; ZPMs of Lekang and Piyong; Heads of Departments (HoDs), Namsai; and other dignitaries.

The programme commenced with a welcome address by Shri Ong Maio, District President, followed by the felicitation of the State Team and national and state awardees.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Chowna Mein, Deputy Chief Minister, appreciated the initiatives and highlighted the achievements of present Government under the leadership of PM Narendra Modi and his people centric development undertaken from infrastructure development, digital transformation and financial inclusion to women empowerment, Rural development, healthcare, education. He also appreciated the efforts of the organisers and participants in using the street-play format as an effective medium of connecting with the public.

The highlight of the programme was the Namo Seva Ankahi Kahani Nukkad Natak, which presented its message through an engaging street-play format. The performance underline the spirit of “Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikash, Sabka Prayas” a reflection of grassroots transformation and the aspirations of a New India.

The programme also included the felicitation of the Namo Seva Ankahi Kahani Nukkad Natak Team in recognition of their participation and efforts in taking the message to the grassroots.
