Chief guest, Shri R. K Sharma Deputy Commissioner Namsai unfurled the national flag at Stadium Ground in Arunachal’s 36th Statehood Day celebration in Namsai district.

Addressing the gathering, he said, “we are proud that in spite of all odds our socio-political development was never deterred by the negative forces of diversity & ethnicity”.

He expressed his gratitude to former legislatures of Namsai district, erstwhile Lohit, for being the pioneers in political advancement of the people of Namsai district. Gratitude was also extended to present legislatures for their guidance and leadership in making Namsai as one of the fastest growing districts in the state.

He urged all to look forward and renew our pledge to make Arunachal Pradesh a more developed, prosperous and peaceful state, to uphold the secular, socialist and democratic values enshrined in our Constitution and join wholeheartedly in the task of nation building.

The district took part in the online loan disbursement program which was virtually addressed virtually by Honble Chief Minister, Shri Pema Khandu. Loans were disbursed to 5 SHGs under ANKY & ANBY by the Chief guest.

The main attractions of the day were cultural display by cultural troupes and school children, traditional dress (both male and female) competitions, sports competitions, display of various departmental exhibition stalls. Government employees from various departments were felicitated with commendation certificates by District Administration for their meritorious services.
Statehood Day was also celebrated in Chongkham and Lekang circles in a befitting manner.
