A two member team arrived here on Tuesday on a one day visit to inspect the implementation of various rural development schemes in Namsai district.

Apart from interacting with the beneficiaries and members of SHGs, the team visited the DDUGKY unit at AUS, Namsai, site visits of works implemented by PRI in all the 3 blocks, inspection of PMGSY roads etc.

The team held a review meeting at DCs conference hall where deputy commissioner gave a status overview and achievements of all the rural development schemes in the district. Challenges in implementing various social sector schemes due to the distinctive demography of the district was highlighted by DC, R.K Sharma.

He requested the team to convey the message of challenges being faced due to non-updation of MGNREGA portal.

The team lauded the work implemented in the field.

In attendance were ADC Namsai, DPDO, Member secretaries, Exn Engg PHED & RWD, CDPOs, BDOs, BMM, ArSRLM.
